You owe yourself

You owe it to yourself to do better and become the best version of you, it’s nobody’s responsibility but YOURS sweetheart. So stop walking around like the world owes you something, ok - read on ;)

Now, there comes a time in everyone’s life where they ask themselves at least one of these questions:

  1. “Where do I see myself in 5-10 years and do I like what I see?”

  2. “Do I know where I want to go and what I want to be?”

  3. “Am I doing what is necessary in order to reach it?”

  4. “Tf am I doing?”

It may not be in that wording, but you get the gist my friend. If you’re staring at the options and the only one that seems to resonate with you is “Tf am I doing?” Well, it just means that you have yet to explore into your self-development. START NOW, it is never too late to work on yourself and find out what works best for you and if somebody says otherwise tell them to stfu because I got you.

For the people that have asked themselves that or have been asked and have found the answer to it (or consistently seeking it) I hope you are owning every single second of it! This is your journey into becoming what you were meant to be, and I’m proud of every one of you. It took me a really long time to realize that I am in control of my own “destiny” and I’m saying it like it really has been a long time and it honestly hasn’t - guys I’m only 22. It’s crazy to me that most people don’t think about things like this, they just work on getting through the day and that’s not living to me.

Think about it like this, you’re the brand Nike and you’ve established that but since 2010 you’ve only been making one style of shoe. There’s been no modifications, no improvement and you’ve barely changed the color from a pissy yellow to a kind of doo doo brown, where do you think you’re going? NO DAMN WHERE, why? Because even brand name companies have to do better, they have to constantly keep evolving themselves and what they put out has to be a reflection of their brand.

With that being said, go explore, take risks, have genuine fun, be creative, make valuable connections with random strangers you bump into at the gas station at 4 o’clock in the morning. Develop yourself into something YOU love and would be happy to let the rest of the world see. Your self-development is forever ongoing, so once you start you don’t stop until your times up.

Just like everything else, there are going to be challenging times, it’s NOT (I REPEAT IT WILL NOT, YOU’VE BEEN WARNED) always going to look pretty but you can not give up! If you give up on something as important as yourself, how exactly are you supposed to commit to bettering anything else?
